Marissa has a strong interest in varying degrees of the filmmaking process. She enjoys writing, researching, and planning out every detail in her short films. Her work focuses on the horror/suspense genre as fear has been an inspiring subject wise for her stories. She has a BA in Electronic Media Management from Cal State Northridge. She spends her time watching, admiring, writing about, and analyzing international, classic, and contemporary films.

She personally loves stories with heart and soul, dipped in black and white, character driven, thought provokingly unconventional, visually, stunning, poetically captivating, jaw-dropping, viscerally awesome with an existential flair.
